At seven, she carries a natural sense of responsibility, making sure her little sister is safe, supported, and never alone. She is Kackey’s protector, her encourager, and her steady source of courage. Dotchoo’s bravery and leadership guide every adventure, showing young readers what it looks like to love fiercely, act bravely, and grow with purpose.
Kackey
The gentle heart, quiet, observant, and full of innocence. Kackey represents purity, hope, and emotional grounding. Though she is able to speak, she chooses silence after an early trauma, expressing herself instead through her eyes, her gestures, and the steady comfort of her beloved Dovey, the Everywhere Bear, who never leaves her side.
Gigi Nana
GiGi Nana is the foundation of the Dotchoo & Kackey Universe. As the girls’ grandmother and a devoted lover of reading and social‑emotional learning, she guides them through meaningful adventures that help their hearts grow.
